The famous actress Betty White had a golden retriever. She is quoted as saying, “Once someone has had the good fortune to share a true love affair with a Golden Retriever, one’s life and one’s outlook is never quite the same.”
Emerald Jade (aka EJ) makes friends easy. As many cat owners know, two cats usually do not get along much. A Golden Retriever can win them over with a little time. Next thing you know they are taking cat-dog naps with one another.
Taffy was one of my first goldens. She was the same golden color as my cat Morris. They would nap together, often with Morris sleeping on top of Taffy. You had to look closely. Their colors were so close that it was hard to tell when one began and the other ended.
