My son and daughter sure enjoyed playing with the puppies for all of those years. Even though they have passed the quarter of a century age mark, they still like to visit occasionally on puppy pickup weekend.
This is my daughter back in 2006. She looks very happy, doesn’t she? They were raised on Goldens. My daughter still has one. My niece and nephews have always had them. Once you get your first golden, you are just about guaranteed to always want a golden.
I enjoy it a lot when my children visit and if they happen to visit on puppy pick up weekend, many memories flood back into my mind and heart. As we age, these are the kind of memories that we always have.
Goldens will walk with you, swim with you, run with you, play fetch with you, sleep on the couch or bed with you. They will get along with your cats, but the cats may take a little while to get along with the golden. In my experience, even the cats finally give in.
